AER-Gas
01.01.2002 - 27.01.2009
Research funding project
Hydrogen is seen as one promising future energy carrier. To get a sustainable supply chain hydrogen has to be produced from a renewable source. The aim of this project is to produce a hydrogen rich gas from biomass via biomass gasification. A noval process is used to reach this aim (AER-gas-process). The gasification reactor is a dual fluidized bed system and as gasification agent steam is used. To obtain a high reforming of methane a catalyst is added into the bed material. The removal of CO2 is carried out by CaO/CaCO3 system also in situ within the fluidized bed gasifier.
