Concept (German) Das Institut für Automatisierungs- und Regelungstechnik ACIN setzt sich die nachhaltige Förderung der österreichischen und internationalen Industrie zum Ziel, und zwar durch Schaffung von neuen Automatisierungs- und Regelungstechnologien, durch die Erforschung von neuen wissenschaftlichen Methoden zur Beherrschung der kombinatorischen und dynamischen Komplexität von Automatisierungssystemen und -prozessen, durch den Einsatz neuer Informationstechnologien und Managementmethoden in unternehmerischen Prozessen und durch die Entwicklung von technischen Systemen mit kognitiver Intelligenz. Wir streben Kooperationen mit kompetenten Partnern aus dem In- und Ausland an und wollen in ausgewählten Technologiesegmenten den Rang der internationalen Spitzenforschung erreichen. Die synergetische Nutzung der Kernkompetenzen und Infrastruktur innerhalb von ACIN sowie Kooperationen mit Instituten der TU Wien und mit anderen Forschungspartnern stärken unsere Innovationskraft. Wir legen ein besonderes Augenmerk auf die qualitativ hochstehende und nachhaltige Ausbildung von zukünftigen Führungspersönlichkeiten. Die Ausbildung umfasst die volle Breite - vom kompetenten Praktiker bis hin zum Spitzenforscher. Unsere Absolventen sind internationale Spitzenkräfte, die unsere Kompetenz in namhaften Unternehmen der ganzen Welt vertreten.

Concept (English) The Automation and Control Institute ACIN aims at the sustainable promotion
of the Austrian and international industry by means of providing new technologies for Automation and Control, by doing research for scientific methods of controlling the combinatorial and dynamic complexity of automation systems and processes,
creation and application of new information technologies and management methods in entrepreneural processes and research activities in the field of cognitive systems.
We seek cooperations with competent partners and head for international
leading positions in carefully selected technology segments. We use synergies of core competence and infrastructure within ACIN and by means of cooperation with other institutes at the TU Vienna. We especially care for the high quality education of our students and team members in order to become highly qualified leading personalities. The education comprises the whole scale of excellence - from practical skill users to scientific top-level researchers. Our alumnis are internationally respected top level engineers and managers who work for successful companies.
