Marius Valente ist Universitätsassistent und Doktorand am Forschungsbereich Interdisziplinäre Tragwerksplanung und Ingenieurholzbau (ITI) an der TU Wien. Aufbauend auf der langjährigen Tätigkeit im Bereich Architekturtheorie und Technikphilosophie forscht Valente zu sozialen, ökologischen und ökonomischen Transformationsprozessen des Bauens. Das wissenschaftliche Interesse gilt hybriden Materialsystemen mit Holz, Lehm, Stroh und anderen nachwachsenden Ressourcen, der Wiederverwendung von Tragwerkselementen sowie der Verbindung von Forschung und Praxis.

Marius Valente is a university assistant and doctoral student at the Department of Interdisciplinary Structural Design and Timber Engineering (ITI) at TU Wien. Building on many years of work in architectural theory and philosophy of technology, Valente’s research focuses on the social, ecological, and economic transformation processes of building. His scientific interests include hybrid material systems using wood, clay, straw, and other renewable resources, the reuse of structural elements, and the integration of research and practice.
