Presentations of architecture or architectural designs can be done in very different ways. Basic techniques and skills to represent objects and projects are increasingly gaining importance in the professional practice of architects.
In this course, various approaches for the presentation of architectural objects and projects are offered.
An important part of scientific work is the publishing of its results. Multimedia techniques provide useful tools to present themes understandable. Within a movie it is possible to show much information in a short period of time. Very important is to develop a coherent form of expression to provide the researched topics to the general public, which is not familiar with this kind of information. It is very important to look intensive into the subject and to be aware of the possibilities to use moving pictures and animations to express and transport information. Efficiently used the instruments of language and images can provide a view into scientific work, which is not possible in just printed form.

Since 2001 the cultural landscape around Lake Neusiedl is registered on the list of the World Heritage Sites. In this course, the importance of the UNESCO World Heritage List will be explained. The focus is laid on the discussion about the impact of the label World Heritage has on the region and in particular to the architecture.
Away from the controversial discussion about the World heritage Site Vienna the importance of the outstanding universal value, authenticity and integrity will be highlighted in the course. On this basis, the aim is to study the compatibility of preservation of architectural traditions and the development of new architectural language with a corresponding local character.

After general presentation of the different steps abd approaches tp the production of a film documentation a movie in the legnth between 5 to 10 minutes will be compiled.
The introductions include camera and sound technology, pre- production, and post production, planning the shots and interviews on site, preparing the material(picture, sound and graphics), editing, textlayout and composition of the film. Depending on the interests and composition of the groups short films, features as well as an extended documentation may be the result of the course.
If you have a topic in the frame of another course you can use this as the base of you clip. At the insitute 5 cameras and a computer for editing are available. For processing on their your own computer trials of the required software are made available.
