Aim of course

Control Centres with their applications constitute a fundamental part of the Smart Grid. The announcement of the main applications of the control centres will help the students to handle easily and successfully the Smart Grid issue in the practice.

Subject of course

General description of the main applications of control centers and their theoretical algorithms are provided. The theoretical part is enriched with demonstrations and exercises on a network control center system.

  1. System operation control centers
  2. Power system monitoring
  3. Power system scenario analysis
  4. Power system  generation load balance
  5. Power systems posturing: static security
  6. Power systems posturing: angular stability
  7.  Power systems posturing: voltage stability
  8. Energy management systems: basic and advanced functions
