Aim of course

The course offers information on the curriculum, on study-contents and different fields of practice. The workshop allows students to reflect on their conceptual design abilities and prepares them for the methods and subjects of the courses of the first year of studies.

> The first prerequisite for the completion of StEOP is uploading a letter of motivation, around 2500 characters in length. This is also the first task for the Orientierungskurs. The letter of motivation must be written in German and needs to be uploaded between October 5th and October 10th (until noon) on TUWEL (e-learning platform).

Subject of course

The course includes lectures about the various areas of studies and research offered at the faculty of architecture and on different fields of practice, combined with exercises and a short workshop on a typical tasks within the area of architectural concepts.

There will be four mentoring meetings, where students will be asked to reflect their study choice and think about positions and possibilities within the field of architecture.

Additional information

The registration in groups will start on Tuesday, September 5th, 2016 at 09:00 am and end on Friday September 30th at 7:00 pm. For this, it is necessary to be inscribed into the bachelor study of architecture (study code: 033243).

Students with other study codes have to send an Email to: tielsch@rpl-arch.tuwien.ac.at with an short explanation about their case. The Dean for Students will decide about a possible participation.
