After this, renown researchers from the TU and other Universities will present evidence on their field of expertise in SI such as health, education, housing, public spaces, and migration. Questions such as "Where is the optimal location for a hospital?", "What infrastructure is need for our daily lifes?", "Which institutions are needed for reception and integration of refugees?" etc. will be discussed.

Teaching methods

This course is a "Ringvorlesung", which means that the topic of Social Infrastructure will be covered by various presenters of different research fields. Each lecture will be designed as interactive as possible given the virtual (synchronous) format of the course. For example, there will be discussions of presenten case studies, relevant theories and empirical studies. If need be, the students will be requested to engage with relevant (scientific) literature prior to the lecture.
