The central content of the course is the single-family house. During the semester we will deal intensively with the various aspects of this type of living and the "dream of a single-family home". This includes the past, present and future of the single-family home, the challenges, problems, advantages and disadvantages, alternatives and the presentation in the media. But personal experiences and attitudes to this polarizing topic should also be dealt withTHE SINGLE FAMILY HOUSEFoundation: Everything you need to knowIn a first step (task 1) the figures / data / facts about the single-family house are worked out. This includes, for example, the land consumption, the number of houses in Austria, the average number of residents, regulatory mechanisms, historical development, etc.1st floor: The house and its residentsIn the second step (task 2), the students should ask their personal environment on this topic. For this purpose, key questions are worked out together and a preparatory workshop (methods, input, etc.) is held.Roof: With a view into the futureAt the end of the semester, the results of both parts should be presented in a small exhibition. * Two day excursions are planned during the semester (depending on the Corona situation), which can be visited voluntarily.
