After successful completion of the course, students are able to critically discuss scientific publications with respect to their methodological approaches as well as their quality, relevance and transferability to their own scientific work.
The seminar has a distinct focus on interdisciplinarity. Besides its content-wise and methodological focus, it also aims to support students' soft skills and enables them to professionally communicate scientifically beyond their own fields of research.
The seminar will broadly deal with the topics of Urban Development, Social Infrastructure and Social Inequality. It is generally open to students' own doctoral research foci and interests. The lectors will guide the interdisciplinary discourse on the respective PhD projects and selected seminar topics, while peer-to-peer learning will be especially encouraged.
The student has to be enrolled for at least one of the studies listed below
