After successful completion of the course, students are able to...
- create interdepencies betwen the production and consumption of food in cities and urban planning,
- understand the functioning of sustainable food cycles,
- understand the role of urban planning in this context, and
- develop measures, concepts and recommendations for the governance of urban food planning in order to contribute to resilient and sustainable urban development.
This course concentrates on one central trend of urban development, namely on approaches to localize food production and consumption on the level of the neighbourhood. This should contribute to a resilient and sustainable form of urban development.
