3 Cities_5 Universities_One United Project
The MUNISS project is an international, cross-border and interuniversity cooperation project between the cities of Vienna, Bratislava and Brno, as well as the participating universities

• Vienna University of Technology,
• Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava,
• Masaryk University Brno,
• Brno University of Technology and
• Mendel University in Brno.

Within the MUNISS project, concepts and scenarios for defined areas of the participating cities should be developed through student project work. On the part of the Vienna University of Technology, Department for Spatial Planning, Centre of Regional Planning and Regional Development, students will work on this project within their master project (P3).

Workflow:

• In the selection process, interdisciplinary teams will be formed by the MUNISS format.
• Teams (3 per city) work on development concepts and development scenarios for their planning area.
• Within the start workshop, mid-term workshop and end workshop in Brno, Bratislava and Vienna the work progress of the teams will be presented.
• During the final workshop the projects will be presented, graded and prized by a jury (approx. 2500,-EUR).

Time schedule:

• Application at the office of the Centre of Regional Planning and Regional Development (incl. letter of motivation in English, A4 one-sided) - (October 2017)
• Registration for the project(city) and composition of teams - (November 2017)
• Start of the student project work - (January 2018)
• Workshop in Brno - (January 2018)
• Project workshop in Vienna - (March 2018)
• Mid-term workshop in Bratislava - (April 2018)
• End workshop (final presentation/ Awarding of the  project works) in Vienna - (May/June 2018)

The lecture will take place mainly in summer term 2018. This Tiss course is used to organize the registration.

Costs:

Within the project, costs will be covered by the participating cities (travel, accommodation and material costs).

• Attendance in the workshops
• Submission of the project work (map and report)

• Application to the project via TISS (max. 21 participants)
