After successful completion of the course, students are able to comprehend sociological conepts and apply them to architectural contexts. They have a basic understanding of the relation between social spaces and the physical enviroanment, social inequalities and social change.
Key sociological concepts and theories will be introduced. On that basis, current issues of relevance for spatial planning will be discussed, such as social inequalities, migration, urbanisation, housing, digital transformation and infrastructure development.
