After successful completion of the course, students are able to determine the theoretical basics of typologies in spatial planning. The students are empowered to analytically process and evaluate urban planning, open space planning and design issues on different spatial and content levels.
The lectures convey methodical and normative foundations and explain typological basic terms and fields of action of urban planning, open space planning, spatial analysis and design. The lectures are also used as an occasion to discuss specific drafts, their objectives and results. By discussing and analyzing selected examples, students are enabled to sharpen their own positions and values.
The proof of achievement takes the form of a written examination.
The exam is offered in online mode (in TUWEL).
Procedure of online examination:
The examination supervision takes place simultaneously via Zoom. An appropriate terminal device with camera and zoom is required for this. (Smartphone, tablet, laptop...).
The link will be sent to the participants via e-mail before the exam.
For quality assurance, prevention of the use of unauthorized aids and to ensure the independence of the students' performance, the following measures can also be implemented:
Use of programs to identify plagiarism or textual similarities
oral follow-up questions for the examination to check the plausibility of answers
Students need a terminal device with a camera (e.g. laptop and smartphone) to take the exam.
