After positive completion of the course, students know about support options for deaf and hard of hearing students and are able to implement them.
They will gain insight into the higher education system, the barriers it presents, and will acquire skills in working with deaf and hard of hearing students to create a barrier-free university. This will give them the opportunity to gain a new approach to the topic of accessibility and gain different perspectives on studying.
This course is used exclusively for the coordination of the assigned tutors of the Service Point GESTU.

During the course, support strategies for deaf and hard of hearing students will be discussed and experienced in practical exercises.
In cooperation with deaf and hard of hearing students, communication and methodological skills will be developed in order to facilitate barrier-free studies.
