Aim of course

In this course you learn everything about LTE advanced wireless transmissions up to the recent discussions on how the 5th generation wireless will look like.

Subject of course

MIMO basics, single user capacity, SVD precoding

MU-MIMO, MIMO broadcasting, dirty paper coding

feasible linear methods: ZF, Block Diagonalization, regularized versions

Interference channel, Coordinated Multipoint Transmission (CoMP): leakage, interference alignment, optimal linear bamforming

Joint tranceiver design: iterative methods for joint transmissions

Feedback quantization and optimal codebook designs

5G: Massive MIMO, mmWave Technology, Network densification
