Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to anlyze a digital communication complex as well as designing a system under certain restrictions. The signal and system level is presented.

Elements of information theory: Entropy, Binary Symmetric Channel, Channel-Capacity 3.Source-Coding 4.Channels: Cables, Fibers, Radio 5.Modulation-Formats: analog and digital 6.Demodulation: Matched Filter, Error-Probability 7.Channel-Coding: Block and Convolutional Codes 8.Power-Bandwith-Efficiency 9.Multiple Access: FDMA,TDMA, CDMA 10. Synchronization 11. Equalization 12. Intersymbol -Interference  13. Mobile Communications. 14. RADAR basics 15. Car-to-Car Kommunikation.
