Aim of course

Understanding ionospheric wave propagation in shortwave radio bands, construction of simple shortwave radio antennas, principles of professional radio systems for analog (AM, FM, SSB) and digital (PSK, MFSK,RTTY, ...) transmission.

Subject of course

Fundamentals of the physics of ionospheric wave propagation, introduction to shortwave radio antennas, overview of analog and digital transmission for shortwave radio.

premilinary discussion: Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 13:00 (on time) in seminar room SEM 389-2 (room no. CG 0402 located at 4th floor of the institute of telecommunications).

The practical part of this course is supported by the Radio-Amateur-Club of TU Wien.
