Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to explain fundamental concepts of photonics and to analyze active and passive photonic processes such as refraction, diffraction, lasers, waveguides, lenses, etc.

Subject of course

Theory of photonic processes and devices (wave propagation, beams, amplifiers, lasers, waveguides, detectors, etc.).

Teaching methods

Videos of lectures will be provided weekly. The videos contain explanations using slides and derivations. All slides will be provided as well.
