Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to mathematically simulate photonic processes and to design photonic components (chirped dielectric mirrors,  Lasers, beams, waveguide components (filters, couplers etc), nonlinear effects, 1d, 2d and 3d semiconductors, S-matrix (Mach Zehnder- and Sagnac interferometer), Jones-polarization formalism)
