Aim of course

Solving of photonics engineering problems; advanced concepts of photonics (coupled modes theory, relativistic effects, low dimensional effects, Matrix formalisms, nonlinear optics, Fourier optics)

Subject of course

Design and simulation of chirped dielectric mirrors,  Lasers, beams, waveguide components (filters, couplers etc), nonlinear effects, 1d, 2d and 3d semiconductors, S-matrix (Mach Zehnder- and Sagnac interferometer), Jones-polarization formalism
