Aim of course

Based on the courses Photonics 1&2 and Physics, the lecture course will cover the basic technical and physical aspects of femtosecond laser technology and its practical applications.

Subject of course

A broad introduction into the basic optical and electronic processes and methods (such as broadband laser- and optical parametric amplification, optical pulse compression, optical frequancy conversion, limits of optical and laser materials, modern measurement methods of ultrashort laser pulses, etc.)
