After successful completion of the course, students are able to understand and transfer high-level specification of a system to design requirements and carry the development process to produce a system which meets the requirements. Design objectives and extra information are to be discussed with respective supervisor.
For questions and answers, and further information please attend the info session.
The course is project based and the projects are mainly based on topics given out, which are announced in Information Session during the first week of October (please see the events for the exact date and lcoation), and here (please visit Communication, Documents).
This course is part of the Embedded Systems Master Programme, and there specifically of the SoC Track. The Institute of Computer Technology also offers other relevant courses.
Your work is evaluated based on the design requirments (i.e., delivery of a system that satisfies the requirements) and a report. Respective supervisor performs the evaluation.
Not necessary
You need to be familiar with Systems-on-Chip concepts, design, and architectures.
You need to have a good working knowledge of a hardware description language (e.g. VHDL).
Working knowledge about some other high-level system design tools can be very helpful as well.
