Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to conduct state-of-the-art research, in particular for SoC topics. They should be able to identify reliable, good, state-of-the-art (research) material, study and analyze them. Moreover, they will be able to present their findings in a concrete and concise manner in writing (paper) as well as in person (presentation).

Based on the current regulations the course will be held online (on Zoom) only. If there are any changes and presence is facilitated, we may hold the presentation sessions in person (maximum 3 sessions).

Subject of course

The course consists (guided) research on one of the of the state-of-the-art topics in SoC. You then have to write a scientific paper/report on it and present it.

Teaching methods

The course consists (guided) research where supervisors work on a one-to-one basis with students on research methodology as well as how to present the results of their findings.

Examination modalities

There will be no written exams.

You will be assessed based on the quality of your final paper/report (50~60%), and your presentation (20~30%), as well as your progress and work during the procedure of the research and attendance in seminary sessions (10~25%).
