Awareness creation of technical staff for problems of people with disabilities and for the issues of barrier-free and humen centered design of technical products. Acquiring basic skills in Assistive Technology considering example applications

Terminology and systematic of disabilities, demographics, relevant national and international standards, technical aids for orientation and ADL (activities of daily living) tasks for visually impaired persons; aids and technologies for deaf-blind people, electronic systems for people with motor impairment. Case studies and social/economic aspects.

The lecture will take place in Oktober and November 2011.
