Aim of the lecture is to get an overview to surface accoustic wave (SAW) devices. Attending the course you should understand the operation of SAW devices and get the knowledge of the types available. The participants should get able to judge the applicability of SAW devices in practical problems of communication engineering.
Surface acoustic wave devices (SAW) are applied in a continously growing number in almost every (but not only) mobile communication system, but they are almost not present in the education. The lecture willl introduce into the topic. It also gives practical hints and applications dealing with SAW devices.
