Control of distributed-parameter systems
The lecture provides an introduction into the analysis, the feedforward and the feedback control design as well as the numerical simulation of distributed-parameter systems (DPS). The modeling of processes leads to a distributed-parameter description in terms of partial differential equations, whenever spatial or dispersed-phase effects have to be taken into account. Common examples include flexible structures in mechanics and mechatronics as well as diffusion-convection-reaction systems in chemical engineering.
