Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to demonstrate specific knowledge and application know-how on the control of switch-mode power supplies and on their electromagnetic compatibility.

 

Subject of course

Comprehensive survey of control techniques for electronic power supply systems, especially for switch-mode power supplies (SMPS); detailed control analysis and design for isolated and non-isolated DC-to-DC converters, resonant converters, gate drivers, active and passive circuit components, discussion of the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of SMPS.
