After successful completion of the course, students are able to design industrial electronics circuits, in particular power electronics systems, taking into account the circuit topology and the use of modern active and passive components especially with regard to the EMC problems.
LVA will be held live online via Zoom, every Thursday 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., starting online on October 7th, 2021
Registration via TISS is required for this.
This course is primarily aimed at students who have already completed or attended PE basic course 372.033. In order to be able to keep the LVA in "presence mode" later, there is a limit of max. 12 students, = seminar room capacity). Students who have completed LVA 372.033 are therefore given priority in the event of overbooking.
All registered participants can download the lecture presentation notes via TISS (please note copyright!).
Alternatively, the script can also be obtained in paper form (but only as a b/w copy, 1- or 2-sided, EUR 15). If you would like to by a paper script, please send an email to as soon as possible
j.ertl@tuwien.ac.at
This email should consist exclusively of a subject line as follows:
"EMV, family name, first name, 1-sided" (= script, 1-sided copied) .... or
"EMV, family name, first name, 2-sided" (= script, 2-sided copied)
This lecture is part of an advanced lecture block (formed by lectures 370.030, 370.031, 370.032). Basic knowledge of power electronic systems (gained, e.g., by passing lecture 372.033 or a similar basic-oriented power electronics course) hence are required.
