After successful completion of the course, students are able to analyze the relationships between the structure and properties of materials using simple and largely universally valid physical models. Furthermore, they will know the corresponding material parameters with their orders of magnitude and are able to solve typical examples from the field of materials science.
Frontal lecture
Accompanying the lecture VO "Materialien der Elektrotechnik" 366.109, a laboratory exercise LU "Materialien der Elektrotechnik" 366.110 takes place in the winter semester and summer semester. This LU replaces the former LU "Materials" 366.105 and is fully equivalent to it.
The lecture examination is both in the written and oral format. Duration maximum 120 min. Only a pocket calculator is allowed as an aid. The material is given by the lectures and the corresponding chapters of the book "Werkstoffe der Elektrotechnik" and the script "Mechanische Werkstoffeigenschaften" (see documents).Registrations for the written exams via TISS.
