Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to define scientific hypotheses, plan and execute respective experiments, analyze and discuss the results, present them to an audience of the respective subject, and report the results in an international scientific journal.

Subject of course

General supervision of doctorate thesis; discussion of aims, methods and topics of dissertation, discussion of milestones in course of the work as well as of questions and problems arising.

Teaching methods

Discussion of scientific problems and systematic literature research; if applicable, learning and applying experimental analyses methods; discussion with supervisor and other doctoral students; presentation of own findings at international technical and scientific conferences.
