After successful completion of the course, students are able to explain the various production technologies, concepts, components and also simple systems in microfluidics and to evaluate their advantages and disadvantages.
At nanoscale dimensions, different physical phenomena start to dominate; this leads to new scientific insights and applications.
During this course, the fundamental principles of micro- and nanofluidics will be explained. Several state-of -the-art nanofluidic systems will be presented and discussed (working principles, fabrication, testing).
