After successful completion of the course, students are able to solve close to practice handling and assembly tasks in micro dimension and have the skill to evaluate the selected solutions (working physical effects and design of grippers).
Trends in micro and nano handling, functional requirements for grippers, endeffectors and handling stations (micro/ nano robots), automated micro/nano handling: problems and challenges, experience and results from EU project ASSEMIC (coordinated by the lecturer), special focus: handling of carbo nano tubes CNTs, approaches for improving reliability and troughput, aspects of standardization on national and European level, material testing, aspects of health and safety in the use of nano materials.
presentation of case studies, analysis of assembly requirements for hybrid microsystems, patents and available Equipment - distance learning based on audio and video transfer of content.
Elaboration and presentation of a case study to demonstrate the acquired theoretical skills - online examination according to actual TU guidelines, online mode oral only.
