Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to analyze correlations between structure and properties of materials using simple and largely universal physical models.Furthermore, they will know the corresponding material parameters with their orders of magnitude and will be able to solve typical examples from the field of materials science.

Examination modalities

The lecture examination is both in the written and oral format. Duration maximum 105 min. Only a pocket calculator is allowed as an aid. The material is given by the lectures and the corresponding chapters of the book "Werkstoffe der Elektrotechnik" and the script "Mechanische Werkstoffeigenschaften" (see documents).

With regard to the current situation, we will hold the exam either in face-to-face or online format, depending on the situation. Please note this when registering for exams (the exams are marked accordingly).

Registrations for the written exams via TISS. Oral examinations take place in the following days by individual arrangement.
