Learning and understanding of electric and magnetic properties of materials by means of theoretical models. Interpretation and understanding of mechanical, magnatic, and electrical properties with respect to the materials structure. Acquiring basic knowledge and accessing orders of magnitude of various material properties.

The course consists of the lecture "Werkstoffe", course no. 366.104 which is held in winter semesters. The exercices part consists of practical examples that are treated during the lecture. The examination is administrated in the frame of the course no. 366.104 (for dates and registration refer to TISS). For the current class schedule please refer to the entries for the course "Materials" (no. 366.104).

Because of the overlap with the "Werkstoffe" (LV.-Nr. 366 104) this course is not recognized as an optional subject for the electrical engineering degree.
