Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to understand the underlying problems in the recording of the respective measurand and the solution approaches involved in the most diverse and quite complementary areas of sensor technology. Furthermore, they will understand the basics of microfluidics.

After completing the exercise, students will be able to work with a lock-in amplifier, understand various electrical noise mechanisms, and optimize the anti theft system .

Subject of course

1. Acoustic sensors
   1.1.Human perception
   1.2.Simple acoustic basics
   1.3.Macroscopic and miniaturized microphones
   1.4.Microphone arrays, acoustic camera

2. Wireless sensors
    Introduction to the basic principles, department store theft protection

3. Ion sensors and DNA sequencing with field effect transistors

4. Microfluidics
    From the single component (channels, mixers, valves, ...) to the system (Lab on Chip)

Laboratory part:

1. Anti theft system

2. Lock-in amplifier
