Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to know and to distinguish market, technology and applications of short range wireless communication systems like Bluetooth, ZigBee, Z-Wave, LoRa, 802.11, etc., to have knowledge of the legal framework, standardization and of integration into electronic systems.

Subject of course

Basics of Radio Communication are presented with focus to specific topics in physical layer, MAC, Security and protocols above.

Teaching methods

The lecture is held as presentation. The students are invited to discuss own experience and own projects in the context of wireless networking. The slides are available as pdf file.

In online mode additional documents are available to enable self-study.
