After successful completion of the course, students are able to apply and to realize the respective knowledge of the accompanying lecture, to solve representative problems; to perform demonstrations and simple measurements on electrical engineering models, systems and devices in the laboratory.

Established methods of university didactics

To successfully complete the course "UE Electrical Engineering 1" it is necessary to

• pass 3 Klausuren (= written exams) each with at least 14 out of 30 points
• succesfully complete 4 laboratory exercises (interest, good preparation for the respective topic, punctuality, active and committed participation)
• and to achieve a total of at least 52 points (through written examinations and laboratory exercises).

Participation in the weekly calculation exercises, in which problems are presented and solution strategies are developed, and in the laboratory exercises is compulsory. In case of multiple absences from calculus exercises (more than 4 times per semester), the LVA will be assessed with "Nicht Genügend" (N5).

Grading

The grade is calculated from the number of points as follows:

• 0 - 51,5  : Nicht genügend (N5)
• 52 - 63,5: Genügend (G4)
• 64 - 75,5: Befriedigend (B3)
• 76 - 87,5: Gut (U2)
• > 87,5: Sehr gut (S1)

In order to complete the LVA "UE Elektrotechnik 1" positively, it is necessary to
 

   -  pass 3 exams (= written tests), each with at least 14 out of 30 points. Each exam graded "not sufficient" (<14 points) can be repeated once on the respective date indicated.
   -  complete 4 laboratory exercises (interest, good preparation for the respective topic, punctuality, active committed participation),
   -  as well as to achieve a total (through written exams and laboratory exercises) of at least 52 points.

 Participation in the weekly exercises, where problems are presented and solution strategies are worked out, as well as in the laboratory exercises is obligatory.

In case of multiple absences from calculus exercises (more than 4 times per semester), the LVA will be assessed with "Nicht Genügend" (N5).
