- create a Stakeholder-Analysis
- create a Risk-Analysis
Furthermore, they are able to create a project manual containing a project definition, the methods mentioned above, a schedule, resource and cost plan as well as a project organization.
Students are also able to describe relationships between teamwork and project management.
Students can describe agile approaches (Kanban and Scrum) and use central elements in projects.
Basics in Project Management, project start (goals), stakeholder- and risk analysis, project planning (tasks, schedule, cost, ressource), project organisation. teamwork and communcation, project controlling, project closure.
Agile approaches (Kanban and Scrum), tools such as Kanban board and user stories, estimation methods, product and sprint backlog, roles and events.
Creation of a project handbook on a topic of your choice that is ideally related to the content of your study. This project manual can also be created in pairs to take account of the fact that projects are not carried out alone in practice. In this case, two additional methods should be integrated, namely an object structure plan and a capacity plan.
As an alternative to object structure plan and capacity plan a Product / Sprint Backlog.
Submission of the project handbook. Alternatively, it is possible to take a written exam.
A documentation of a project should contain the following:
- Cover sheet with name and matriculation number
- Table of content
- Project charter
- Stakeholder analysis
- Risk analysis (4-field-matrix)
- graphical Work Breakdown Structure
- 2 Work package descriptions
- Schedule (Gantt-Chart)
- work package-based Resource- and cost plan
- Project organisational chart
if 2 students hand in together, additionally these two elements:
- Object structure
- capacity plan for one resource (histogram)
It is not required to provide fictional Minutes of meetings, status reports, project evaluation/categorization, ...
The project can be delivered by one or two students electronically 2 weeks before the end of the semester at the latest. You can hand in also at a later moment, but please be aware thet it can take a while till the mark is entered into the system.
Please send ONE pdf, the filename should start with the name of the student(s).

For the creation of a work breakdown structure and a scheduling the WBSTool 8 is a suitable tool. It is no longer distributed, a functional version can be downloaded in the "Documents" area if you are registered for the lecture.
