Aim of course

The physical properties of semiconductors are teached in detail. The lecture gives the basic knowledge necessary for a diploma work in semiconductor physics. Latest developements are  presented too.

Subject of course

Basic quantum mechanics,crystals, bandstructure and effective mass, semiconductor statistics, electronic transport: Boltzmann equation and scatterin processes, physics of low dimensional electron systems (quantum wires and dots)
