Aim of course

The main goal of this lecture is an understanding of the physical properties of semiconductors and basic semiconductor devices (diodes, transistors)

Subject of course

Basic knowledge: atom physics, quantum mechanics, hydrogenic atom, periodic table Periodic solid state structures, single crystals: diamond and zinc blende structure, band diagrams
