Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to describe everyday life in a laboratory, to summarise challenges in the laboratory as well as to estimate their own abilities for the work in an semiconductor laboratory.

Topics by instructors: - optical semiconductor device characterization (Pogany) - scanning probe techniques (AFM/STM) on semiconuctor nanostructures (Smoliner) - lasers, hereostructures, molecular beam epitaxy and nanotechnology (Strasser)
