After successful completion of the course, students are able to solve a complex problem regarding operating systems and software engineering for high performance computing by researching various publications, documenting the gained knowledge in a short thesis and presenting the work in a short oral presentation.
Current challenges and an overview of the current state-of-the-art in operating systems and software aspects for high performance computing are being conveyed.
Independent research, preparation of a short thesis, presentation of the results
Submission of short thesis
by email to the lecturer.
This seminar is primarily tailored to master's students. Familiarity with software engineering topics and/or high performance computing, parallel algorithms, computing architectures is a must.
