Aim of course

Absorption of the theoretical aspects of semiconductor physics so as to gain better understanding of the operating principles of modern semiconductor devices and optoelectronic devices and to aid design of these devices; understanding and application of the continuative fundamentals of quantum mechanics and solid state physics.

Subject of course

Absorption of the fundamentals of semiconductor physics from the perspective of the applications in micro- and nanoelectronics including the following subjects: electronic structure of low dimensional systems, electronic transport and carrer scattering,  electron-photon interaction, density matrix and master equation, continuative concepts of quantum mechanics such as many body systems, fermions and bosons.
