Aim of course

Consolidation of quantum mechanical basic knowledge and application to quantum optics

Subject of course

Hilbert space, the postulates of quantum mechanics, expectation values and operators, Dirac notation, harmonic oscillator and ladder operators, approximation methods, transition probabilities, light-atom interaction, optical nonlinearities.
