Aim of course

Consolidation of quantum mechanical basic knowledge and application to solid state electronics and phtonics.

Subject of course

Hilbert space, the postulates of quantum mechanics, expectation values and operators, Dirac notation, harmonic oscillator and ladder operators, approximation methods, transition probabilities, oscillator strengths, optical nonlinearities, elements of field quantization.
