After successful completion of the course, students are able to
Programming in C, programming step by step, structured programming, working with development systems, variables/constants, expressions in C, data-types in C, standard input/output, selections, iterations, functions, arrays, strings, structures, pointers and addresses, the preprocessor, input/output with files.
Lectures, supervised exercises at the institute.
In order to participate in the exercises, a registration in TISS is necessary before Friday, March 6th !
Only Bachelor students enrolled in Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies are eligible for online registration. Other interested students can register at the Secretary of the Institute for Microelectronics; However, the participation cannot be guaranteed due to limited capacity.
In order to guarantee an unimpeded continuation of the "VU Programming 1 (360.016)", lectures and exercises will be performed completely online in this semester.
The course consists of lecture and exercise parts. The exercises are split in 5 individually graded units and all of them must be completed subsequently.
Each exercise is designed as a two-week cycle. The exercise tasks are completed in the first week and submitted in a video conference the following week during a previously selected appointment. Before this submission, a multiple-choice test must be completed, which can be repeated until the necessary minimum number of points (80%) is reached.

The final exam after successfully completing the practical exercises. The final exam replaces the previously required oral examination which will nevertheless still be offered until the end of June 2023 to those students who successfully completed the practical exercises prior to 2020.
Every student who has successfully completed the practical exercises can take the final exam instead of taking the oral exam.
A registration to the course before Friday March 6th 23:00 is mandatory.
The assignment of exercise tasks and their subsequent submission are done via the TUWEL system. A login into the TUWEL system is possible for all students who have already registered for "VU Programmieren 1".
The first exercise cycle begins on Monday, March 23rd. The automatically assigned exercise tasks must be completed in the Codeblocks development environment at home and uploaded to the TUWEL system not later than Sunday, March 29th.
The submission phase for the first exercise begins on Monday, March 30th. Each day there will be 10 groups to choose from. The scheduled submission time is 10 minutes for each student. Students can select their personal submission date and group starting with Monday, March 23rd, 10:00 a.m. in TUWEL system.
