Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to

  • get a rough overview of the scope of protection of patents
  • investigate, whether patent protection may be obtained for an invention
  • comprehend and analyze situations of patent conflicts

This lecture is recommended for students of technical studies concerned with the development and implementation of products and processes.

The lecturer is Austrian and European patent Attorney and lay judge at the higher regional court Vienna. He holds a doctoral degree in electrical engineering (Dr. techn) and a master's degree in Law (Mag. iur).
