Requirements on network-integrated measuring instruments: Fields of application (automation, process engineering, environmental measuring techniques). Usage of modern hard- and software techniques. Concepts to the support of an automated production. Connection PC - mikroprozessor. Development of PC surfaces (Delphi) for parameter setting and operation.
The lecture shall convey the hard- and software bases for the construction of single, intelligent measuring instruments which are used for value recording and value processing as well as for transmitting the results to the main computer. It describes, how a hard- and software modularity can be achieved by a specific choice of the right methods that allow the usage of cheap single chip microprozessors for even complex tasks. Customized solutions are possible with costs as low as for serial models. It is shown how the precision can be calculated instead of statistically estimating for a series of devices using automatic, constant self-calibration. All methods are optimized to facilitate the development of hard- and software with minimized costs for equipment and testing.
The main emphases of the teaching contents are adapted to the wishes of the participants.
