Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to understand, analyze and design integrated photodetectors, transimpedance amplifiers, optical sensor and receiver circuits in bipolar, CMOS and BiCMOS technolgy.

Subject of course

Basics and theory, integrated photodetectors in Bipolar, CMOS, BiCMOS technology, integrated waveguides, integrated optical systems, design of ICs and OEICs, examples of circuits (digital, fiber receivers, analog: e.g. DVD sensors)
