This course is in at least 1 assigned curriculum part of the STEOP.

2022W, SE, 2.0h, 3.0EC, to be held in blocked form

Properties

  • Semester hours: 2.0
  • Credits: 3.0
  • Type: SE Seminar
  • Format: Distance Learning

Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to independently gain knowledge about the state-of-the-art of a certain part of integrated circuit design. They are able to analyze different approaches and present their conclusions in a seminar thesis.

Subject of course

Fundamental IC-Design, knowledge of specialzised data-bases, independent purification of defined questions

Teaching methods

Students get a certain topic in the area of integrated circuit design. They independently study and present it.

Due to the special situation this semester, you will have to produce a seminar paper instead of a presentation. You choose a topic and  search for up-to-date papers (e.g. IEEE explore). You have to present and discuss them to/with your supervisor. Then you have to write a scientific (!) seminar paper of around 6 papges text (excl. pictures). The paper can be written in german or english.

The preview lecture will be held online!

Mode of examination

Immanent
